The holiday season usually hits like a hurricane, and it has been a particularly busy time for the Millers, a flurry of activities and work schedules colliding into a perfect storm.  Some days I need to remind myself to just breathe, and then I move on and try to complete the various “to dos” that never seem to end.  Events to attend, images to process, gifts to wrap, hurry, hurry, hurry and get things done…But, then there are moments, some spontaneous, wonderful moments that help me to remember what the season is all about:  a breakfast and tree-cutting excursion with friends (yes, the mountain scene is the view from their yard!), playing in the snow with my daughter and catching snowflakes on our tongues, laughing with girlfriends, helping friends light the menorah for the first night of Hanukkah, making up our own silly holiday songs.  Presents are lovely, but being present is the best gift. It’s so easy to get caught up in what we should do during the holidays – I am so guilty of this myself and I’ve been working on it (it’s really hard!).  I try to appreciate the little moments, notice details and grab the camera so that I can remember what is important to me during the holidays.  I hope everyone can see, experience and enjoy the little magical things this season.  Happiest of holidays to you all!
